After working with Ardeche
greats Gilles Azzoni and Domaine des Miquettes
, Piere Bourlier found himself a humble site of just 1.5ha of vines to settle in northern Ardeche
, just a stone's throw from Saint Joseph
. His vines are situated on a steep slope planted in terrace, facing the Doux valley. And while he's looking to expand his production, for now we're enchanted with this humble production of lovely wines.
A very fine tannin punctuates the lightweight, lifted and delicate old-vine gamay
presented in Vaille que Vaille. Just a touch of bramble seeps in to add intrigue to the purity of fruit.
