Partida Creus
VN Vinel.Lo Tinto 2020

'£22'

Working the old vines with horse and donkey, and vinifying with a slow, hands on process, including no added sulphites, these two ex-architects from Piemonte create pure and fresh wines from local indegenous grape vairietals that over time had fallen out of vogue in the wine culture of the area. The VN is a fresh and juicy blend of local old wine varietals that yields a delicate, herbaceous red fruited aroma, with a bright and energetic palate. Just a touch of savoury depth from the clay soils and soft, well integrated tannins round this perky, characterful blend.

Partida Creus

The name ‘Partida Creus’ is a direct reference to the cross like markers that were originally used to separate individual farmers holdings or plots of grapes, and it seems fitting to use this term from the agricultural history of the area as they set out to work with other local farmers, to recover abandoned and forgotten vineyards, and to try to regenerate the viticultural history of the region.
