Julien began his foray into winemaking slowly, first working summer jobs as an agricultural laborer in Ardeche before finding an apprenticeship with Bertrand Jousset. It wasn’t until after this apprenticeship that Julien began considering more seriously the prospect of winemaking as a career; his family background has little to do with agriculture or winemaking.
