Fruit for Quarticello hails from Montecchio Emilia, just outside Parma in Emilia Romagna, where Roberto Maestri farms his 5 hectares of vines organically with a few biodynamic practices. Producing wines of charm and characterful simplicity, Roberto seems to have the right idea about what life is all about: family, food, wine, and nature. A few moments deep into the Quarticello instagram took me to a video of Roberto and a friend eating tortellini en brodo and having a glass of their dense, rich lambrusco (Neromaestri) amongst the vines and...yeah. It's pretty easy to see that these folks have it all figured out.
