Mas De l'Escarida
Laurent Fell came into winemaking because of drinking it, a progression we can very much get behind. In 2012 Laurent acquired 4 hectares of land nestled in the Cevennes mountains, with southern-facing slopes at 500m above sea level, entirely secluded from any other agriculture. It’s an awe-inspiring landscape, with stratified clay, chalk, and sandstone moauntains bursting from the dense forests, overlooking the river valley below. Since Laurent’s foray into wine was natural wine itself, it’s no surprise that in 2013 he made a commitment to no-additions winemaking and hasn’t looked back since. Laurent’s wines teem with freshness and drinkability; the stainless-steel vinifications and elevage lend themselves to immediacy in the wines, and in turn Laurent is producing wines of rare value and quality.
