Marie Et Vincent Tricot
Prior to making the move to Auvergne in 2002, Marie and Vincent cut their teeth in Beaujolais, working with Patrick Cotton. Patrick comes from an impressive winemaking background himself, having worked with the likes of Marcel Lapierre and Jules Chauvet; it suffices to say that there was a real trickling-down of philosophy. So, in 2002 when the Tricots bought their domaine in Auvergne, they were pleased to find vines that had been organically farmed since the 60's, cutting out the need for lengthy conversions. Since their acquisition, they've lined their vines with new plantings of trees of all varieties- almonds, apricots, walnuts, plums - which add to a healthy biodiversity present at the domaine.
