Daniele Piccinin
Veneto, Italy
Farming just 5ha of vines in the northeast of the Veneto, Daniele champions minimum interventionalist farming, favouring homeopathic treatments and lots of patience in his vineyards over chemical sprays. He's also made a mission out of revitalising plantings of durella, a local grape indigenous to his little corner of the region. The wines offer a real singularity of place, at once open and expressive but with a real freshness, perhaps carried down from the more mountainous reaches of the Veneto.
